The frosted window melts both grains
Facing the crackling pressed heat
To witness split, and squealing pains
Diminishing without defeat.

Only the vibrant sparks reflect
Through its glassy panes and surface
A silence to soothe the effect
After sudden breaks from coldness

The glowing blanket heats away
Away from crisply cold ashes
Toward flickering heat; to lay
Pains to rest as light it dashes.
